General information and rules

Terms of study at the DreiBridge language centre

Organisation of lessons

  • All lessons take place in equipped classrooms at: Tartu, Puiestee 71a.
  • The academic year runs from September through June inclusive. Lessons are not held during school holidays and public holidays unless agreed otherwise in advance.
  • One lesson lasts 50 minutes, unless a specific course programme provides otherwise.
  • All necessary study materials are included in the course price. Additional materials and supplies are provided by the teacher as part of the learning process.
  • A group opens with a minimum of 3 students. In case of insufficient enrolment, the centre reserves the right to change the schedule, merge groups or postpone the start of the course.

Payment for lessons

Payment for lessons is made monthly in two stages:

  • a prepayment at the beginning of the month for the planned lessons of the current month;
  • the remaining amount is paid at the end of the month based on actual attendance.

The prepayment amount is 5 euros for each planned lesson.

  • The prepayment is non-refundable if the student is absent from a lesson for any reason, including illness, travel or personal circumstances.
  • If a lesson is cancelled at the initiative of the teacher or the centre, the missed lesson is compensated by agreement with the parent or student.
  • A pay-per-lesson system is not available.
  • For families with two or more children attending at least twice a week, a special payment scheme applies. Terms are discussed individually.

Ending your studies

  • If a student plans to stop attending, the centre must be notified at least 2 weeks before the intended end date. To do so, send a free-form message to estenglishschool@gmail.com stating the student’s name and the course title.
  • If notice is given less than 2 weeks in advance, the prepayment for the following month is retained and non-refundable.

Attendance rules

  • Please arrive to lessons on time. Lateness can disrupt the group’s learning process.
  • Parents are responsible for informing the teacher in good time about the child’s health or other circumstances that may affect participation in lessons.
  • The centre is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended on its premises.
  • The centre reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, having notified parents or students in advance.

Photo and video materials

Photo and video materials taken during lessons or events may be used for the centre’s informational and promotional purposes only with the consent of parents or students.

Purchasing programmes and materials

When purchasing a learning programme or teaching materials, all files are provided as a single downloadable archive.

  • Immediately after successful payment, a download link to the archive with all programme materials is sent to the e-mail provided at purchase.
  • The link is valid for one week from the moment of successful payment.
  • The archive can be downloaded once. Please save the files to your device immediately after downloading.
  • If the link has expired or the archive has already been downloaded, write to us at estenglishschool@gmail.com — we will send a new link.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

In accordance with the Estonian Law of Obligations Act (VÕS § 56) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the following rules apply:

Learning programmes and digital materials

  • A consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
  • Exception (VÕS § 53(4)(12)): the right of withdrawal is lost if performance of the contract has begun with the consumer’s express consent and confirmation that they are aware of losing this right.
  • When purchasing a learning programme, the buyer confirms consent to immediate performance of the contract (sending the download link) and understands that they lose the right of withdrawal. The corresponding consent box is ticked in the purchase form.
  • Therefore, paid digital materials are non-refundable after the download link has been sent.

Exceptional refund cases

A refund is possible if the buyer was unable to access the materials due to technical reasons on the centre’s side (for example, files are corrupted and cannot be resent). Write to us at estenglishschool@gmail.com within 14 days of the purchase date describing the problem — we will consider the situation individually.

Physical goods

  • When purchasing a physical product (printed materials, sets), a 14-day right of withdrawal applies from the moment of receipt, without giving a reason.
  • The item must be returned unused. The cost of return shipping is borne by the buyer unless agreed otherwise.

Course tuition

Refund terms for in-person lessons are governed by the “Payment for lessons” and “Ending your studies” sections of this document.

Consumer rights apply only to purchases by natural persons. When purchasing on behalf of a legal entity or for business purposes, the withdrawal rules do not apply. For matters related to consumer protection in Estonia, contact the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet) — ttja.ee.

Personal account

  • Access to your personal account is via a username and password. Do not share your login details with third parties.
  • The user is responsible for actions taken in their account. If you suspect that unauthorised persons have gained access, change your password immediately and notify us.
  • Purchased materials and access to them are provided for personal use and may not be transferred or resold to third parties.

Force majeure

In the event of force majeure (quarantine, emergencies, decisions of the authorities and other events beyond the centre’s control), the centre has the right to temporarily suspend lessons, move them online or change the schedule. We notify parents or students of such changes as early as possible.

Applicable law and dispute resolution

  • These rules and the relationship between the centre and the client are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia.
  • The parties shall seek to resolve disputes through negotiation. If no agreement can be reached, the dispute is resolved in the court at the centre’s location.
  • The consumer also has the right to apply to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Consumer Protection Authority — ttja.ee.

Processing of personal data

The data provided at registration (contact information, information about the child) is used solely to organise the learning process and communicate with participants.

The centre does not share personal data with third parties except as provided by law. For details, see the Privacy Policy.

By registering for a course, you confirm that you have read this general information and rules and accept their terms.
